Hi there!

We’re a small, independent wine bar with an extensive and interesting wine list. We’ve got over 50 of our wines available by the glass too which we think is pretty awesome! Plus we’ve got some great local spirits, beers and ciders lined up for you and some amazing local produce to graze on if you’re feeling hungry.

We’ve naturally got a super friendly team to look after you too, headed up by us – Tunbridge Wells locals, Aubrey and Fleur. We created Geography from our joint loves of travel and wine and like to call ourselves wine enthusiasts rather than experts. Geography’s all about relaxing, trying something new or just savouring your favourite glass (or bottle) of something, and enjoying some incredible produce from across Kent and Sussex.

We have now blended our table service that was introduced during Covid, with our regular bar service so please do feel free to order at the bar if you prefer. If not, one of the team can take your order at your table. We still have hand sanitiser available as well as every day high standards of cleaning too. Demand for bookings has been high, especially on weekends, so we do encourage you to book your table in advance via our online booking system here, or by calling 01892 521292.

We also now have a beautiful new addition to the bar – The Darwin Room. With it’s own private bar, sound system and climate control, the downstairs space if available for private hire for groups of up to 30 people. Call or email us to find out more.

Wine List

We hand-pick the ever-evolving wine list (tough job) which features a host of both old and new world wines from around the globe as well as some local gems. Plus, we’ve curated a range of spirits, ciders and beers, which are local where possible too. And to accompany all of this, we’ve got some tasty sharing platters showcasing local produce & producers, homemade pates and gourmet toasties.

Check out our current wine list here.

Food Menu

We’re not a restaurant but we do recognise that you quite like having something to nibble on while you enjoy your wine, beer or cocktail and so we have a great selection of sharing boards, homemade pate’s, gourmet toasties and bar snacks on offer. All of our cheeses, with the obvious exception of our Baked Camembert, are local as is most of our charcuterie.

We are taking a break from live music over January and February but back with a bang from March when we will be holding our ever-popular sessions every single Sunday! Mike Wilton is the first act to kick off this new season but watch this space, or our social channels and newsletter for details of who else is playing and when.

We have been working to create a new events space downstairs in the bar – The Darwin room – which is now available to hire. The Darwin Room is an elegant and intimate space with its own bar, sound system and climate control with a capacity of up to 30 people – the perfect venue for your work Christmas party, a big birthday celebration or simply a family get together. There is a no hire charge, just a minimum spend of £500. Email us or call to arrange a viewing or to chat about how we can help you with an event.

Date: Throughout January & February
Times: daily

The next resident winery in our ongoing partnership with The Wine Garden of England is the ever popular Chapel Down, based in Tenterden. We will be pouring their 2018 Flint Dry and their 2018 Kits Coty Bacchus with both available by the glass or bottle.

Date: Wed 23rd February – last Wednesday of each month
Time: 7.30pm

We have relaunched our popular Book Club and meet once a month at the bar to chat books, catch up and drink wine – what’s not to love? The next book we’ll be discussing is ‘After the Flood’ by Kassandra Montag. The group is welcoming and relaxed so do still come along even if you don’t finish the latest read (or haven’t even started it!). All welcome.
