Geography is an independent local wine bar with an extensive and interesting wine list and with over 50 wines available by the glass. Run by Tunbridge Wells locals, Aubrey and Fleur, the bar has been born from our joint loves of travel and wine. We’re wine enthusiasts rather than experts and you can expect a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Be assured that, as always, we are putting the health and safety of our customers first, and so we have introduced more regular cleaning and sanitising procedures, hand sanitiser is widely available throughout the bar, tables are at least 1m apart and we are encouraging you to book your table in advance either by calling us 01892 521292 or via our online booking system here.

We are still selling a range of wines, beers and spirits to take away both here for click and collect and from the bar itself for you to enjoy at home or in one of the town’s lovely open spaces.

We still love and celebrate all things local and so you can expect to see local produce throughout our menu as well as a fantastic selection of award winning local wines, beers and spirits from the likes of Tillingham, Hush Heath, Hidden Spring, Good Things Brewing, Gun, and Greensand Ridge.

We hand-pick the ever-evolving wine list which features a host of both old and new world wines from around the world as well as some local gems. And as well as wine, we offer a curated selection of spirits, ciders and beers. To accompany these, you can enjoy cheese and charcuterie platters showcasing local produce & producers, homemade pates and gourmet toasties.

Finally, we feel able to bring our beloved book club back. Our great mate and book worm Kate Jackson, will be back to host the evening when we will (finally) get around to chatting about ‘So Lucky’ and ‘The Bees’ if you managed to read them both through lockdown. We can then all start afresh with new book, ‘The Five’ by Hallie Rubenhold.

It’s free to come along to but we now ask you to let us know if you’ll be joining us, just so we can make sure we’re not over capacity and can safely seat you all. Please either call us on 01892 521292, email us at or drop us a message on Instagram or Facebook @geographytw.

As you know, Kate normally provides copies of the books for free courtesy of the library but given Covid, we are temporarily asking you to source the books yourselves.

We can’t wait to see you!

Sad to say, for obvious reasons, our ever popular Sunday Sessions are on hold. We hope we’ll be able to bring them back some time in 2021 but for now, Sunday afternoons on the High Street are a little quieter!

We are however, still open 2-8pm on Sundays for lots of wine, local beers, sharing boards and great music, albeit not live….
